They are one of those items that seems a waste of money, but they pay for
themselves the very first time you need to have your septic tank pumped.
Risers bring the openings of your septic tank to ground level, thereby
eliminating the need to dig down to the actual top of the tank. They come
in very handy if you've re-landscaped your yard or as in the photo's,
built a deck. Digging in the Puget Sound area is a guessing game at best,
your yard may be rock free and very easy to dig in, while your next door
neighbor's yard is nothing but river rock (sans the river). So the
next time you're out busting your backside exposing your septic tank
lids for pumping, think about asking your septic technician about risers...you'll
be glad you did.
